Who would’ve thought that a flick regarding huge, converting automatons based on an animated program from the past eightees would be one of the premier grossing movies of all time? That’s exactly what happened with Michael Bay’s 2006 blockbuster version of the Transformers, featuring Optimus Prime and the heroic Autobots versus Megatron and the wicked Decepticons for control of the transcendent All Spark, the creator of all sentient mechanized life. Their war waged throughout centuries, in the unfathomable alcoves of the universe, and to our world. The flick solidified the status of Shia LaBeouf – who portrayed Sam Witwicky – as a bankable A-list artist and catapulted Megan Fox – who played Sam’s love pursuit – into super recognition. It turns up as no revelation that the sequel to the film, Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen, is one of the most anticipated films of 2009. Arranged for June 26, 2009 release, Revenge of the Fallen will tell the ongoing account of the Autobots on Earth, but will also be more large-scale than the original. Rumors persist, still, that the Earth won’t be the only battlefield in Transformers 2. The Fallen, in the end, refers to one of the first 13 Transformers made by the automaton god Primus who betrayed his inventor by supporting Primus’ evil brother, the planet-devouring, planet -sized, and planet-changing Unicron. This tells us that Transformers 2 won’t just be global in range, it will be colossal as well. The plot and the characters are covered in secrecy, though revealed images of shoots reveal the following possibilities: - Assembly vehicles painted with grimy green which may direct to the Constructicons – 7 Decepticon automatons that transform into construction trucks and merge to develop the mighty Devastator. - Unused notion art of an Autobot named Long Haul is rumored to have been dug up for this follow-up. - Arcee, a woman Autobot who turns into a motorbike and who was supposed to be a part of the group in the initial film is sure to be incorporated in Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. - Hasbro’s current Licensing Summit displayed some novel models scheduled for the release of Transformers 2, which reveal new personalities which may portray some roles in the film. Among them are a tiger-resembling automaton called Ravage, which would seem to be a sign of the involvement of his boss and Megatron’s faithful right hand man, Soundwave. Speaking of Megatron, the new toys might display that he will be given a new alt form: a tank. At the same time, a Chevrolet Corvette will turn into the cartoon most wanted, Sideswipe.
