Do you want to know what there is about Doomsday? Well here is your chance. Doomsday made his first appearance on Superman, The Man Of Steel, in 1992. He was created by an alien scientist who wished to create the perfect life form. Of all the Superman villains, Doomsday gained the most pity.
During Krypton's most violent time, as an infant, he was put out in the horrific atmosphere to die. When the baby died, whatever was left was harvested and used again to recreate him, only to let him die again.
Perfection was the goal of this madness, as each time he died and recreated, he came closer to perfection. However, the memory of these agonizing deaths would remain imprinted on Doomsday's brain and force him to hate all life.
For this most menacing of Superman villains, defeating the entire Justice League was achieved easily, and this caught Superman's attention. He was so powerful, that he was able to defeat the team with one hand bound behind him.
Maxima was the only one of the bunch who could have any chance of defending herself against Doomsday. Once Superman and Doomsday meet, they are ready to battle. Superman had met more than he was able to handle when he met the most difficult of all Superman villain's, Doomsday. After fighting, began to lose strength quickly while taking a lot of hits. Both of them would continue to fight, neither would concede.
Then, in a historic moment of superhero comic book legends, Doomsday and Superman strike each other at the same time, causing an unforgettable and history making event. This is where the 'death of Superman' came in at.
Doomsday was taken by a Cyborg, and was sent to a faraway place where readers assumed he would stay, however, this was not the case.
