Michigan foreclosure homes are a direct result of jobs being lost and also the lack thereof. The Treasury Department will be able to temporarily buy stock or lend money to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to stop it from folding under. Communities that have been hit the hardest will be eligible for grants to help with fixing foreclosures. The FHA will be able to work with borrowers who have a riskier credit history and the amount of the loans able to be insured will increase. It will also allow for other changes that will directly affect Michigan foreclosure homes in such a way that sellers who pay a down payment for the buyer will no longer be able to have insurance on their mortgage. It also allows the state to become eligible for a tax free municipal bond allowing low interest for those who are buying their home for the first time, those who are developing low income homes, and refinancing mortgages with subprime rates. It also protects Michigan foreclosure homes from being taken to court by mortgage holders who want to change the loan.
