Are you planning to stay at Malta and Gozo longer than a few days? Do you want to find accommodations that will let you lease it longer? Do you have a big group traveling and having a vacation with you and staying in a hotel will be quite expensive?

The farmhouses and villas in Malta and Gozo are the perfect accommodation for these instances. There are a lot of farmhouses and villas for long term let for vacationers and tourists all around Malta.

Since the island of Gozo has its own distinct character and its countryside is more beautiful than the other neighboring islands in Malta, renting farmhouses is a good choice if you want to experience the truly distinct way of life of the Gozitans. Life in the countryside is slower than in the city and attracts fewer tourists, but rest assured that the trip is worthwhile.

Like the rest of Malta’s rich history, most of the farmhouses and villas in Gozo are more than 300 years old. They are old farmhouses built centuries before that have been renovated and refurbished as luxury accommodations but with a touch of a traditional Gozitan farmhouse. They are also called houses with character because despite its modern and state of the art facilities, they retain the air and feel of a true blue Gozitian and Maltese living.

Unlike the typical hotels in the island that book a number of guests at the same time, these villas and farmhouses provide private accommodations for the traveling party. The whole house is theirs for the duration of their stay.

Most farmhouses and villas have three to four bedrooms, which can accommodate a large group of guest ranging from two to eight persons. They are also equipped with standard luxury hotel facilities like cable television, private shower and bath, internet connection, telephone, air conditioning, laundry services. The houses have their own living room, dining room, and kitchen where the guests can prepare and eat their meals. Some owners also provide villa staff to take care of the guests needs like room service and meals.

All of the farmhouses and villas have their own swimming pools within the property for private dip at the waters. These properties also give a stunning view of the Gozo countryside or its picturesque sea front. Some of the towns in the island that offer the best farmhouses and villas are Munxar, Nadur, St. Lawrence, Zebbug, Zejtun, Ibragg, Qala, outskirts of Victoria, Ghasri, Ghammar, Gharb, Santa Lucija, Sannat, Kercem, Xewkija, and Xaghra. Most of these are little villages or at the outskirts of the bigger ones to complete the feel of the quiet and relaxing Gozitan way of life.

Apart from the countryside views that these houses provide, some of these villas and farmhouses are a stone’s away from famous beaches and tourist spots like Xlendi Bay, the Gozo Channel, Hondoq Bay, Ramla Bay, St. Julian’s Bay, Ghajn Barrani, the Citadel in Victoria, most shops and restaurants in the surrounding area and villages.
