Have you ever thought about difference between professions of Club DJ and Radio DJ? You might have thought that there is no big difference; the principle is the same – to provide music for audience. But it is wrong opinion, because the difference exists and essential part of this difference is the audience.
When you are working at the club, music is that link which connects you with the audience and which makes your communication with audience possible. But when you are working on the radio, music is just a background or maybe something like a companion, but you can attract audience by means of your personality, your voice and your imagination. When you are working as Radio DJ, you should remember that radio listeners are different from club visitors, they can’t be treated as a crowd, it is necessary to create illusion that you work only for certain one listener.
And it is also take care of your voice. One of the consequences of work as Club DJ is that you get used to shout and such manner of speaking is inadmissible on the radio.
So, please remember that work of Club DJ is not similar to work of Radio DJ.
