A Balanced Diet For A Healthy Skin

For many years people firmly believed that diet played a role in acne. However, no connection between diet and acne has been found by scientists. There is no greasy food or sweet food that will cause you to suffer acne.
However, by eating a healthy diet you can improve your healthy skin. So eating what's good for the rest of your body is good for your skin health and can improve acne. A healthy skin can be achieved thanks to the right nutrients, like:
Vitamin A
Vitamin A (retinol) is commonly found in liver, fish oils and dairy products. Plants-produced vitamin A is called Beta-carotene, and is typically found in orange and yellow colored vegetables and fruits such as yams, apricots, carrots and cantaloupe as well as green vegetables such as parsley, kale and spinach. However, vitamin A consumption must be controlled, because too much of it can be toxic.
Vitamin E
This is found typically in broccoli, sunflower seeds, almonds, peanuts, wheat germ and vegetable oils. Vitamin E possesses an antioxidant action that defends your cells against potentially damaging elements resulting from the body's metabolism.
Zinc
Even in small amounts zinc helps boost the immune system, which in turn helps boost your health. Your internal health is reflected in your skin health. You can find zinc in nuts, whole grains, eggs and mushrooms.
Acne Food Triggers
Acne affects everyone differently, therefore, it's important to find out your individual acne triggers. There can be certain aliments that will increase you acne health problems and cause flare-ups in your skin. Once you find these foods, they should be avoided. You should also check your vitamin supplements for iodine content. Your skin won't be affected by normal amounts of iodine but anything greater than the RDA limit of 150 mcg will exacerbate your acne. Just don't forget to eat healthy foods and drink a lot of water with an equilibrated diet. This doesn't mean you have to forget all the foods you like. Every now and then you can still indulge in a craving. However, making a habit of eating bad foods will not be good for your body or your skin.
No-Grain Diet for Acne
Some scientists have discovered that an important step to helping your health is limiting grains. Grain has a secondary effect on insulin, which produces an excess of male hormones that can cause your pores to secrete sebum that in turn benefits acne-causing microbes. If your skin is healthy acne won't appear; therefore, you may want to see if your acne condition is improved by limiting the grains in your diet. Be aware that it may not work for you, even when many see a benefit from a diet low in grains. Since everyone has different body conditions, different diets are going to work for them. A diet that works for a handful of people isn't going to work for the majority. So be sure to find the right diet that works for your body.
